Volkswagen To Manufacture New 5-Seat Atlas In Chattanooga Next Year

Volkswagen is planning to spend USD 340 Million in order to bring a third vehicle to its assembly plant in Chattanooga – a five seat version of its large Atlas crossover. The new crossover in the concept form to be public next week at the New York Auto expo mentioned by Hinrich Woebcken, CEO of Volkswagen Group of America.

It is anticipated to enter the production in late 2019. The new vehicle version of the Atlas will share significant number of components but will characterize different styling than larger three-row, seven seat crossover that went on sale just one year ago in U.S.
