With exclusive marketing launch partners-One Plus, Anheuser-Busch InBev and GoUSA, the digital music service application with an access to millions of songs, Spotify has been launched in India and is expected to compete with other music streaming platforms like Gaana, Wynkk, Amazon Music and JioSaavn. India is among the 11 countries in Asia to get the Spotify service amidst its legal dispute over licensing negotiations with Warner Music.

According to the MD of Spotify India, Amarjit Singh Batra, Spotify has constantly progressed over the years and has delivered the best music experience to its users worldwide. They want their users from India and around the globe to find the best music along with encouraging the India artists to find their listeners both in India as well as globally.

The upgrade options for Spotify premium can be availed by users after a month of free trial at the subscription price starting from RS. 119 on monthly basis. Apart from monthly and annual subscription, there is availability of top-up packs along with special discounts for students. Earlier used in India via VPN services, the app is now available for a free download to both iOS and Android users.
